Objectives
The Education
and Training Task Group will establish a forum of active users and
researchers in order to develop an overview of MBS & QR technologies
and their usefulness (applicability) for teaching and training artefacts,
particularly for industrial requirements.
They will work to further specify, via this forum, the integration
of MBS & QR with recent developments in terms of the WWW and
multimedia. This will be done in order to determine the possibilities
and limitations of this approach and to determine what problems
have to be solved in order to use MBS & QR and the WWW and multimedia
effectively.
Description
of work
Establishing
a forum of active users and researchers (this will be an ongoing
activity, but the majority of the forum members should be found
during the first year).
Organize forum meetings to discuss the current work and progress.
Consult industrial training units to investigate on-site situations,
problems and needs.
Construct online and interactive overviews and reviews.
Feedback and dissemination of results produced during the work-package.
Deliverables
ED1 - A database
of (potential) users and researchers active in applying QR/MBS to
educational settings.
ED2 - Review of QR/MBS technologies and their usefulness (applicability)
for teaching and training artefacts, particularly for industrial
settings.
ED3 - Review on how to integrate QR/MBS with WWW and Multimedia,
focusing on technology transfer and research topics to be addressed.
ED4-5 - A Technological Roadmap for Education and Training.
All deliverables will be online and interactive.
